Pride & Joy

I’m not the type of person who is real big on quotes but I do like mini sayings.

Growing up my dad would always say I was his pride and joy. Of course back then I thought it was silly but after I had my first son the very first thing I said to him when they placed him in my arms was that he was mommy’s pride and joy.

I later got it tattooed on me with his name and DOB. To me it means I take great pride in being his mommy and I want nothing but joy for him.

When I had my second son I wanted something similar for him so I got mommy’s heart and soul.

Now for my third son I have yet to come up with something for him but I surely will!

Joining the Blog Life

I started blogging about 7 weeks ago so I’m still pretty new at it. I’ve wanted to start blogging ever since I quit my job a year ago but never really knew how to get started. Plus I had no clue on what to talk about. I always thought blogs were suppose to be pages long with so much detail but honestly it can be about whatever you want and how ever long you want it to be.

This girl I have been following on Instagram for awhile now was looking for some people to join a bloggers group so I figured I’d give it a try! I think my favorite part about this blog group is we vote on weekly topics to write about so I don’t feel like I’m completely on my own. I feel like being in a somewhat structured group will help me gain the confidence to start writing more on my own.

Weekly Recap

So of course this past week we celebrated Thanksgiving. We got together with my in-laws and the hubby bought a Honey Baked ham, YUUUUM! Yes we all stuffed our faces and ate way too much but most importantly we spent time together as a family. I love when we are all able to get together and just enjoy each others company. Life happens and we don’t get the chance to all be together all the time so catching up is always fun! The weather was decent so the kids were able to take all the noise outside while the adults got to chit chat [in peace lol].

After visiting we came back home, unloaded all the leftovers[my favorite part] and just plopped our butts on the couch to watch Disney+. Perfect ending to an amazing day if I do say do myself!

I’m just now starting to get the house cleaned up. It’s a HUGE mess and I’m dreading it but I’m going to blast this music and get to cleaning.

How was your holiday weekend?

Products I’m Loving

So I have this burrito blanket that I received as a collab through Amazon. The whole house goes crazy over it! If I don’t grab it first the two older boys fight over who’s going to use it. Then if they aren’t using it my husband covers the dogs up with it! If you couldn’t tell already it is the favorite blanket throughout the house. I have yet to have my husband wrap me up like a burrito in it for that instagram worthy picture!

Are you into planners? If you are my 8×10 planner from @nourishedplanner is a must! With 3 kiddos, 2 dogs, a hubby and myself we have many appointments and special events constantly. I will admit I forget things very often so having a big planner to keep track of everything really helps me out.

My felt boards are another product I’m obsessing over. I came across @whoaon on Instagram and now have 3 of their boards! I love that you can create anything you want. I switch mine out for all the holidays, even using them for birthdays.

How many of you like the photo tiles? I probably won’t go back to picture frames for awhile now. I collabed with @printage and @photosquaredapp and just fell in love with how easy they are to place on the wall and remove if you want to rearrange them. No more holes in the wall!

Do you have any favorite products?

What’s In My Bag?

Before I became a mother I loved my oversized designer bags with matching wallets, but now as a mother of 3 I ditched my designer purses for a book bag style diaper bag. There was no way I could carry around my oversized purse along with a baby in a car seat and his diaper bag all while chasing around my 2 older boys everywhere we go so I had to find a way to compact everything.

What’s in my bag you ask? Probably everything and anything you could think of. I have a tendency to over pack because let’s be honest you never know what kind of situation can arise with 3 very messy and wild boys. So obviously I have all the diaper changing necessities needed for the baby. Along with extra clothes, his snacks, cup, toys and pacifier. Then of course the older boys have their MUST HAVES that they sneak into the bag too. Like their tablets, a book, their snacks and drinks and those darn little superhero guys.

Believe it or not I still have room in the bag for my things as well. My main things I take with me are the keys, because we can’t go anywhere without those lol, my wallet, chapstick and lotion. Everything fits so nicely in the many different pockets inside and outside of the bag.

What are your main essentials in your bag? Let me know in the comments below ๐Ÿ™‚
